| Dear Fox News: What is capitalistic about the banks on Wall Street? The US government bailed them out and owns “equity” in these banks (AIG, Citigroup, etc. etc.). This is a textbook specific example of socialism (government ownership of the means of production and distribution of goods and services). Textbook!!!! How then can you say the protesters are against capitalism and for socialism? That makes no sense, and holds no merit or logic or anything other than, huh? You have it backwards! It’s socialism for the banks and capitalism for the rest of us. I am fine with that actually, because I am smart enough, self reliant enough, and have the skill set to compete with even this obviously lopsided equation. However, many people don’t, and I can see their point! I love capitalism and US corporations, and have been writing about the depth, strength, and love of US companies for years. As well as putting my money where my mouth is and buying US equities by the truckload! Again, what are you talking about? I don’t like the bailouts (socialism to the T) so I am against capitalism and corporations???? You have it perfectly backwards my friend!!!! The later deserving of 4 exclamation points! |
